SB Law participated in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Client - Mr. A, an officer of the Electricity Transmission Team B of L Province, who was the Defendant in a Criminal case for the crime of Abuse of power or position in the performance of official duties.
Immediately after receiving the request for legal services from the Client, SB Law promptly assigned a team of Lawyers and Legal Experts to support the Client throughout the stages of investigation, prosecution, and trial of the case. During the process of resolving the case, SB Law:

On July 25, 2024, the People's Procuracy of L Province issued a charging, prosecuting the group of Defendants, including Mr. D, Mr. B, Mr. A and Mr. K before the Court for the crime of Abuse of power or position in the performance of official duties as prescribed in Clause 3, Article 356 of the Criminal Code.
On November 18, 2024, the People's Court of L Province held a first-instance trial of the case. At the trial, SB Law's Lawyer presented arguments, defended the Client and cited appropriate legal grounds to request the Court to decide on a sentence below the lowest level of the applicable sentencing bracket. Through the defense, the Lawyer clarified important legal details about the Client's minor role in the case, which was only of a supporting nature, an insignificant role, and following instructions from superiors; the Client committed a crime for the first time, had an attitude expresses cooperative attitude and contrition; and also pointed out other mitigating circumstances that were applied to reduce the Client's sentence.
After the deliberation, the Trial Panel of the People's Court of L Povince accepted the defense argument of Lawyer SB Law, applied Clause 2, Article 54 of the Criminal Code on "decide a sentence below the lower limit of the current sentence bracket and it is not required to belong to the next lighter bracket" and sentenced the Client to 04 years in prison - the lowest sentence in the group of complicity.
