Answer: In Vietnam, Client can open Foreign Indirect Investment Bank Account in order to:
(i) Making capital contribution, purchasing or sale of shares or stakes of Vietnamese enterprises which are not yet to be listed or registered for transactions on stock exchanges of Vietnam and not belong to Foreign Invested Companies under Vietnam Law;
(ii) Making capital contribution, purchasing or sale of shares or stakes of Vietnamese enterprises which are listed or registered for transactions on stock exchanges of Vietnam;
(iii) Making sales and purchase of bonds and other types of stocks on the securities market of Vietnam;
(iv) Making sale and purchase of other valuable papers in Vietnam Dong permitted for issue within the territory of Vietnam by organizations duly established and operating in Vietnam;
(v) Investment trust in Vietnam Dong through fund management companies, securities companies and organizations are permitted to conduct the investment trust operation under the legal provisions on securities; investment trust in Vietnam Dong through credit institutions and branches of foreign banks are allowed to conduct the investment trust operation under the provisions of the State Bank;
(vi) Capital contribution, transfer of stakes of foreign investors in securities investment funds and fund management enterprises according to legal provisions on securities.
Client does not need to have any enterprise in Vietnam to open Foreign Indirect Investment Bank Account in Vietnam.
Such bank account shall be owned by the person. Regarding to minimum deposit and guarantee for such bank account, it shall very much depend on policy of each bank in Vietnam.
