SBLAW Protects Foreign Employee Rights in Labor Dispute in Bac Ninh Province

On March 25, 2026, the People’s Court of Region 6, Bac Ninh Province, held a first-instance hearing to resolve a labor contract dispute between a South Korean expatriate (Plaintiff) and a Vietnamese enterprise (Defendant).

In this case, Mr. Do Xuan Thu – Head of the Litigation Department at SBLAW – served as the legal counsel protecting the lawful rights and interests of the employee. Notably, Mr. Thu’s legal support was provided consistently through two critical stages:

The Mediation Stage: Mr. Thu directly participated in dialogues and negotiations between the employee and the employer. Leveraging his extensive experience, he presented persuasive legal arguments to seek a harmonious solution, aiming to save time and costs for all parties involved.

The Litigation Stage: When mediation efforts failed due to the employer's lack of goodwill, Mr. Do Xuan Thu represented the client in performing all necessary legal procedures to initiate a lawsuit. He meticulously built the evidence portfolio and directly litigated at the People's Court of Region 6 to successfully defend the client's legitimate rights regarding salary, compensation, and unlawful termination.

This event once again affirms SBLAW’s expertise in handling complex labor disputes, particularly those involving foreign elements and international experts working in Vietnam.
