SBLAW respectfully introduces the time for filing and examining PCT patent applications in Vietnam:

| Filing of Application | 05-10 working days from the date SBLAW receives the valid dossier | SBLAW prepares the necessary documents for filing the patent application |
| Formality examination | 02-08 months from the filing date | Examination of the validity of the patent application and accompanying documents. If the requirements are met, a decision of acceptance of the application will be issued |
| Publication of application | 02 months from the date of acceptance decision | Publication of information on the patent/utility solution in the Industrial Property Gazette |
| Substantive examination | Within 18 months from the date of application publication (if the request for substantive examination is filed before the publication date) or from the date of the request for substantive examination (if the request is filed after the publication date) | Examination of the patent/utility model’s eligibility for protection. If the requirements are met, a notification of patent grant will be issued |
| Granting the Patent/Utility Model | 02-08 months from the date of granting fee payment | Publication of information on the patent/utility solution grant in the Industrial Property Gazette |
