Question:
My business associate and I are exploring the possibility of creating a company with a Vietnamese partner.
I would like to find out the requirements to do so including costs and benefits, whether there is a minimum investment required and are we as foreigners entitled to resident cards if we do form a company?
Also, please include the fee for your services.
Answer:
I am Lawyer of SB Law. I was entrusted to provide you legal advice regarding to setting up company in Vietnam.
In Vietnam, generally, incorporating a Foreign Invested Company shall be more complicated in comparison with setting up a pure local company. In order to estimate required time and cost for supporting you in setting up such company, we need you to confirm us:
- What will you do in Vietnam? (Some business activities prohibit involvement from Foreign Investors or restrict foreign ownership. Meanwhile, some require for minimum investment capital).
- How much will you invest into Vietnam?
- What is the capital structure?
- Where will you locate the company in Vietnam?
We are looking forward to hearing from you soon.
P/S: When you are recorded as shareholder or owner of a company in Vietnam, you can obtain a temporary resident permit.
