Wholly Foreign Invested Company and Joint Venture Company in Vietnam

Under Vietnam Law, there is no discrimination between a Wholly Foreign Invested Company and a Joint Venture Company.

With respect to several specific investment sector such as telecommunication, logistic, tourism etc, foreign investor must co-operate with at least 01 local partner to setup Joint Venture Company.

In case of co-operation with local partner, foreign investor may enjoy valuable experience of local partner regarding to market, Vietnam Rule and local working environment.

Obviously, Foreign Investor can obtain a considerable convenience through a joint venture with a local partner if the local partner can contribute the Land Use Right to the Joint Venture Company to run the investment project.

Another notable point of a joint venture company is that during the process of establishment, a joint venture company shall be much more favored in comparison with the wholly foreign invested company.
