Question:

If my unemployment allowance has been suspended, what must I do to resume receiving that allowance?

Answer:

Pursuant to Article 18 of Decree No. 374/2025/ND-CP, the continuation of unemployment allowance is regulated as follows:

“An employee whose receipt of unemployment allowance has been suspended shall, provided that the remaining entitlement period still exists and the employee continues to comply with the monthly job search notification requirement as prescribed, be subject to a decision by the Director of the Department of Home Affairs (via the public employment service organization) to resume the unemployment allowance within 02 working days from the date the employee attends to submit the job search notification.

The decision on resumption of unemployment allowance shall be issued by the public employment service organization and dispatched as follows: one copy to the grassroots-level social insurance agency for continued payment of the unemployment allowance to the employee; and one copy to the employee. In the event that the employee's application was submitted through the National Public Service Portal, the decision on resumption of unemployment allowance shall be sent: one copy to the employee and one copy to the provincial-level social insurance agency via the National Public Service Portal.”

Accordingly, if you still have remaining entitlement period for unemployment allowance, you are required to submit the monthly job search notification in accordance with the regulations so that the Department of Home Affairs can consider and decide on the resumption of your unemployment allowance.
