Requirements and Procedures for Foreign Dentists Working in Vietnam

Nội dung bài viết

Question:
I am a licensed dentist from Norway, who graduated in Poland. If I want to work in Vietnam, what are the requirements and procedures?

Answer:
To work as a dentist in Vietnam, you first need to obtain a work permit. This is the responsibility of your employer before signing a labor contract with you.

Additionally, you must apply for a dental practice license. To qualify, you need to:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in dentistry, which must be legalized.

  • Have a valid dental practice license (or equivalent document) from your home country, along with a reference letter from your previous workplace.

  • Have an interpreter with a Bachelor's degree in Polish who has completed specialized dental training to assist in your practice.

Furthermore, if you do not intend to establish your own dental clinic, you must sign a labor contract with an eligible entity in Vietnam.

Note: All foreign-issued documents must be legalized before submission to the competent authorities in Vietnam.
