In case the client would like to register the service mark in Vietnam, as the leading intellectual property firm in Vietnam, it is ensured that we will provide the client qualified service with competitive fee.

We would like to advise procedure and fee for registering the service trademark in Vietnam as hereafter:

I.          TRADEMARK REGISTRATION IN VIETNAM

1.         Time frame of trademark registration in Vietnam:

The trademark application shall be passed through three stages:

a)      Formality examination of trademark application: 01 month

b)      Publication of trademark application: 02 months counted from the date of acceptance of formality of the trademark application

c)      Substantive examination: 10-12 months counted from the date of publishing the trademark application

If the result of substantive examination shows that applicant’s trademark is registrable, NOIP shall issue Certificate of Trademark Registration within 01 month.

2.         Required documents :

In order to file trademark in Vietnam, the applicant shall provide S&B LAW the following documents:

(i)         05 samples of trademark (size 8 cm x 8 cm) (you can send via email);

(ii)        Power of Attorney (Provided by S&B LAW)

(iii)       List of products/service bearing trademark.

Note:  The client can send us a copy POA (just duly signed by applicant) by e-mail/fax. We will file the client’s trademark in NOIP with the copy POA to obtain priority date. After that, the client can send us the original Power of Attorney via airmail without additional fee.

3.         Validity Duration of trademark registration:

A trademark once registered is valid for a term of 10 years and can be renewed every 10 years for an unlimited period.

4.         Fee for filing trademark registration in Vietnam.

Fee for trademark registration in Vietnam totally depends on number of classes and number of goods/services within each class.

Upon receiving the client’s request, we will provide our updated fee for client’s consideration and decision.
