Also if it is possible to buy a property, then can I apply for another kind of visa, so I can stay longer in vietnam? (not just 3 months, with 3 months extension).... To be able to live there for more than 1 year..... if possible

Answer: SBLAW would like to advise as follows:
Under Vietnam Law, with a 90 days tourist visa, you can purchase an apartment in Vietnam.
However, owning an apartment in Vietnam does not help you to obtain long term visa in Vietnam.
