Question: Do I need to open up dental practice first and apply for a dental license? Or I apply for dental license and then open up the practice when I obtain the license?
Answer:
Please note that opening a dental clinic and dental practice license is two separate issues.
- For opening a dental clinic, you must have at least one licensed dentist to take care operation of the dental clinic. Such person can be foreigner or Vietnamese.
- For obtaining dental practice license, you must be accepted to work for a dental clinic in Vietnam. For this purpose, you must have a work permit first. Then, you shall obtain a dental practice license in Vietnam. Please note that, if you can not speak Vietnamese, you must have at least one interpreter who has been trained in dental sector to support.
