Question: I am in the process of setting up an online clothing business which will be registered in Thailand.
However if people from Vietnam are interested in buying these products are there any restrictions as it is an online business?
Is there any restrictions if Vietnamese people buy these products and I ship the product to them?
Answer:
Vietnam Law does not restrict you to sell products to Vietnamese Users from other countries.
However, we only would like to note that, according to Network's Securities Law which has just been passed by Vietnam National Assembly, you may be required to
(i) Store information of Vietnamese User in Vietnam;
(ii) Setting up Representative Office or Head Office in Vietnam.
Vietnam Government shall have further detailed regulation on this issue.
