On December 18, 2023, the Ministry of Science and Technology issued Decision No. 3038/QD-BKHCN on announcing newly issued administrative procedures and abolished administrative procedures in the field of intellectual property.
The Minister of Science and Technology issued 09 new central-level administrative procedures including procedures for: patent registration; Require the use of results of substantive examination of foreign patent applications; Processing PCT applications at the national stage; registration of semiconductor integrated circuit layout design; industrial design registration; registering trademark; geographical indication registration; oppose industrial property registration applications; Resolve complaints related to industrial property.
In addition, abolish 08 central-level administrative procedures in the field of intellectual property within the scope of management functions of the Ministry of Science and Technology, including procedures for: patent registration; Register a patent under the PCT Treaty with Vietnam designation; industrial design registration; registering trademark; geographical indication registration; registration of semiconductor integrated circuit layout design; resolve complaints related to industrial property; Request copies of documents.
This decision takes effect from December 18, 2023.
