Recently, the Covid-19 epidemic situation is complicated in Vietnam. In order to ensure the health of themselves and the community, many people have been tested for Covid-19. On 2nd June 2021, Vietnam Social Insurance Authority issued the Dispatch Letter No. 1537/BXH-CSYT guiding on payment of Covid-19 test cost in accordance with the Health Insurance Policy.
Accordingly, persons entitled to payment of Covid-19 test cost in accordance with the Health Insurance Policy shall include:
- Medical examination cases and inpatients having potentially exposed to COVID who have been instructed to carry out COVID-19 test and treatment by the authorized entities:
+ Patients having fevers and/or Acute Respiratory Infection Symptoms for unknown reasons.
+ Patient having any respiratory symptoms and having arrived to/experienced/stayed/returned from Covid-19 pandemic areas within 14 days before having above said symptoms OR closed contacted with persons who potentially exposed to COVID-19 or COVID-19 Patients before having above said symptoms.
- Cases tested COVID-19 positive, patients applied medical isolation measures: To be paid cost for medical treatment/examination in accordance with Item 1, the Dispatch Letter No. 3100/BYT-BH dated 20 April 2021.
- Cases tested COVID-19 negative: To be paid cost for medical treatment/examination in accordance with Item 6, the Dispatch Letter No. 3100/BYT-BH dated 20 April 2021.
