In an effort to further enhance mutual trust and cooperation within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and among Central Asian nations, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) will host the SCO & China–Central Asia Arbitration Forum 2025 on April 25, 2025, in Urumqi, Xinjiang, China.
This year’s forum, themed:
“Enhancing Arbitration Cooperation & Embarking on a New Journey under the Rule of Law”,
will focus on the development of new legal frameworks for dispute resolution, aiming to strengthen arbitration mechanisms among SCO and Central Asian member states. The ultimate goal is to improve international commercial dispute resolution services and promote sustainable economic growth across the region.

By participating in this forum, SBLAW aims to gain deeper insights into the arbitration systems of China and SCO member countries. This comes at a time when Vietnam–China trade and legal cooperation are on the rise, especially following the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Vietnam on April 14–15, 2025. SBLAW believes this engagement will further enhance its ability to support clients and contribute to cross-border legal collaboration in the region.
