On 20 January, the Institute of Policy and Strategy for Agriculture and Rural Development (IPSARD) with its partners officially introduced the information channels supporting agricultural enterprises.
Particularly, IPSARD and Viettel Telecom has signed to cooperate with each other in developing information channels for agricultural enterprises through the switchboard, SMS and the information answer No 19008062.
In the trial period, IPSARD and Viettel will introduce the information searching service through the switchboard; provide the information of market, economy, finance, policy under the types of news-letter which can be downloaded and read directly on mobile phone; consultant to connect the activities of trading the agricultural products, machines and materials.
Regarding to the matters of law consultant and trademark, IPSARD has coordinated with the SB Consultant Corp (SB Law) to provide the consultant services of foreign investment, real estate, securities and dispute settlement etc.
For coordinating with IPSARD in this program, SB Law has committed about consulting free for the small and medium agricultural enterprises through the website www.agro.gov.vn or answering directly through S&B Law’s hotline: (04) 35563788, (04)22168800.
In respect of training, IPSARD and Vietnam E-commerce Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has co-organized Training programs for the agricultural enterprises on e-commerce application example: internet trade, e-commerce trading floor, website building etc.
In respect of market forecast analysis, IPSARD and Vietnam Industry and Information Centre (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has coordinated closely with each other in sharing information, discussing, examining and analyzing each line of business and export market to support information for Vietnam agricultural products export import enterprises.
Dr. Dang Kim Son, Chief of IPSARD, said that these above coordination are a base to develop a multidimensional connection project in which IPSARD plays a clue role in coordinating the whole net under the principle of equality and mutual benefit.
Dr. Nguyen Do Anh Tuan, Director of South Office, said that: “The success of the Vietnam Agriculture market information project on vegetation products (VAMIP) organized by IPSARD makes us believe that these information channels will be indeed useful for the agricultural enterprises”. The project VAMIP has supported the vegetables and fruits selling price including price farm, price local, price market root, retail price, export price and purchase price of big enterprises.
Moreover, VAMIP also receives and provided interactive market information through software so that farmers can use comfortably through Internet and SMS, Dr. Tuan said.
Until now, there are about 50 information places of farmers groups, co-operative and concerned organizations in 9 provinces of South of Vietnam which are supported by VAMIP (including Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, HCMC, Long An, Tien Giang, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Kien Giang).
At any point of time on day, farmers can know the selling price of the vegetables and fruits they intends to sell at different markets in these above provinces, especially at big market roots as Vinh Kim (Tien Giang), Tan Xuan and Tam Binh ( HCMC) through the website www.vamip.com.vn.
The difference of the market information provided by between VAMIP and some television stations or newspapers is a chain of price so that traders can not fix prices themselves like before.
According to Dr Tuan, thanks to the highly reliable information updated constantly, farmers in Vinh Long and Tien Giang has recently sell their agricultural products with the price rate 20-40% higher than the free price as before.
