On June 7, 2024, the Government issued Decree No. 62/2024/ND-CP amending Appendix to Decree No. 94/2016/ND-CP and amending Appendix II to Decree No. 94/2022/ND-CP regulating the content of statistical indicators under the national statistical system and the process of compiling GDP and GRDP indicators, including amendments to the annual publication time of GDP data.
The publication time of GDP data (the indicator of gross domestic product) annually is amended as follows:
- Preliminary estimates for Quarter I; initial data for Quarter IV of the previous reporting year: April 6 of the reporting year;
- Preliminary estimates for Quarter II, 6-month and first-time annual estimates; initial data for Quarter I: July 6 of the reporting year;
- Preliminary estimates for Quarter III and 9-month; initial data for Quarter II and 6-month: October 6 of the reporting year;
- Preliminary estimates for Quarter IV and second-time annual estimates; initial data for Quarter III and 9-month: January 6 of the subsequent year after the reporting year;
- Preliminary data for the entire year: October 6 of the subsequent year after the reporting year;
- Official data for the entire year and by quarter of the reporting year: October 6 of the second subsequent year after the reporting year.
Decree No. 62/2024/ND-CP shall come into effect from August 1, 2024.
