On May 25, 2024, the Government issued Decree No. 59/2024/NĐ-CP amending and supplementing certain provisions of Decree No. 34/2016/NĐ-CP dated May 14, 2016, which provides detailed regulations on some articles and implementation measures of the Law on Promulgation of Legal Documents, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 154/2020/NĐ-CP dated December 31, 2020.
Decree No. 59/2024/NĐ-CP comprises 03 articles, specifically:
- Addition of 30 items in points, clauses, and articles of 30 articles of Decree No. 34/2016/NĐ-CP, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 154/2020/NĐ-CP. The amendments and supplements focus on several areas such as: content of policy impact assessment; preparation of policy impact assessment reports; responsibility for collecting opinions on the proposal to develop legal documents; establishment and operation of the Appraisal Advisory Council and the Appraisal Council; meetings of the Appraisal Advisory Council and the Appraisal Council; responsibilities of Ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and provincial People's Committees in developing legal documents and improving the legal system.
- Supplementation and replacement of certain forms in the appendix issued with Decree No. 34/2016/NĐ-CP, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 154/2020/NĐ-CP;
- Abolition of some provisions of Decree No. 34/2016/NĐ-CP, as amended and supplemented by Decree No. 154/2020/NĐ-CP.
This Decree takes effect from June 1, 2024.
