On May 10, 2024, the Government issued Decree 50/2024/NĐ-CP amending Decree 136/2020/NĐ-CP guiding the Law on Fire Prevention and Fighting, specifically:
Entities subject to fire protection design approval include:
- Projects and works specified in Appendix V attached to this Decree when newly constructed or when renovated, changed in use leading to one of the following cases:
Increase in scale in terms of the number of floors or area of fire compartments;
- Change in the type, location of fire escapes; reduce the number of exits of floors, fire compartments, works;
- Install new or replace fire alarm systems;
- Install new or replace fire extinguishing systems;
- Change the function to raise fire safety requirements for floors, fire compartments and works;
- Motor vehicles with special requirements for ensuring fire safety specified in item 19 of Appendix V attached to this Decree when newly manufactured or converted affecting one of the fire safety requirements.
- Change the design approval dossier for fire prevention and fighting
Documents and papers in the dossier are originals or certified copies or copies or photocopies accompanied by the original for the file receiving officer to compare. Drawings and design explanations must be certified by the investor or vehicle owner.
This Decree takes effect from May 15, 2024.
